At Pet Care, we believe great medicine starts with time—time to examine, educate, and build trust with every pet parent.
Our two-doctor practice in Henderson was designed with a clear purpose: to provide gold-standard care without the chaos, and to create a work environment where team members thrive personally and professionally.
We’re privately owned, culture-focused, and committed to doing things differently—because we believe veterinary medicine deserves better.
At Pet Care, every appointment is scheduled for 60 minutes, giving our doctors, technicians, assistants, and client care team the time to be thorough, communicate clearly, and ensure each family feels informed and confident. Our anesthetic procedures are intentionally limited and never rushed, allowing our LVTs and assistants to focus on safe, individualized monitoring with the support they need.
Most of our pet parents are insured and proactive, which removes many of the barriers that complicate care and allows our team to recommend what’s truly best for the patient. We encourage early referrals and collaborative care because doing the right thing—without pressure, rush, or compromise—is the standard we work by.
Our clinic is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, and we’re closed on weekends and holidays to protect your time outside of work. Our appointment-only model includes no walk-ins, no overnight cases, and no boarding.
Our workflow is designed for predictability, with built-in lunch breaks and an emphasis on staying on time. At Pet Health, you’ll leave when your shift ends, and you’ll be free to enjoy your evenings and weekends without interruption.
If you’re in a role where chaos is normal, your time is undervalued, and burnout is expected… you’re not alone. We built Pet Care to be different. And we’re always looking for the next great team member who’s ready to rediscover why they chose this profession in the first place.
We understand how exhausting it is to move from room to room with barely enough time to examine a patient, let alone connect with the family. That’s why our doctors work on a model built around 60-minute appointments, limited procedure blocks, and intentional scheduling – so you can practice with clarity and presence, not urgency. With a skilled support team beside you and pet parents who trust your recommendations, you’ll have the space to think, communicate, and make medical decisions you feel proud of at the end of the day.
We know how overwhelming it can be to feel buried in procedures, with little time or support. That’s why our model prioritizes patient safety and team well-being—giving you the tools, training, and breathing room to do things right. Whether you’re prepping for surgery or monitoring recovery, you’ll have the space and support to feel confident, focused, and proud of your work.
Our assistants are essential partners in delivering personalized, high-quality care. You won’t just be holding pets—you’ll be actively involved in every part of the visit, from supporting diagnostics and treatments to communicating with pet parents. With manageable surgery days and extended appointment times, you’ll have the space to do meaningful work alongside a team that values your role.
At Pet Care, our Pet Parent Experience Specialists are more than receptionists—they’re essential partners in the veterinary experience. From the first phone call to the final checkout, you help create a calm, organized, and welcoming environment that sets the tone for every visit. This isn’t a chaotic front desk juggling walk-ins and complaints—it’s structured care with a purpose, and your role is at the center of it.

DVM, cVMA (Dr. B)
Meet Dr. Mark Beerenstrauch, the driving force behind Pet Health and Pet Care, where the mission extends beyond exceptional veterinary care. His vision is to revolutionize the veterinary experience for pets and their parents, ensuring that visits are more personalized, enjoyable, and fulfilling—not just for pet families but the entire team.
What sparked his journey into veterinary medicine? An unexpected companion, Nita. This dog changed the course of his life, shifting his focus from business management to pet care. Over two decades later, he has cultivated this passion into a career that redefines what veterinary medicine can be.
Unsatisfied with the impersonal nature of high-volume and corporate veterinary settings, he founded Pet Health in Las Vegas, where quality care, personalized experiences, and scientifically backed treatments are at the heart of every decision. Now, with the opening of Pet Care in Henderson, this vision is expanding—bringing the same dedication to excellence, extended appointment times, and integrative care to a new community.
At the core of his approach is a deep commitment to transforming the pet parent experience and elevating his team’s expertise through rigorous training. Every interaction is designed to be meaningful, every visit comforting, and every team member empowered to provide the best care possible. Inspired by the latest innovations in both veterinary and business practices, Dr. B continues to cultivate a culture of empathy, excellence, and continuous learning.
Outside of Pet Health and Pet Care, Dr. B enjoys time with his family, the companionship of their beloved pets, and a deep connection to the land through their family farm in Nebraska. Photography and his love for sports—especially all things University of Nebraska—provide a perfect balance to his passion for veterinary medicine.
